The host

I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, to a Greek dad and a British mom. Growing up as an only child, I was blessed with loving parents and a happy home. Both my parents were teenagers in the 2nd World War, in their respective countries, so I grew up knowing the true value of everything that many people take advantage of today, like hard work, earning your keep, taking nothing for granted, not sweating the small stuff and to appreciate absolutely everything.

After leaving school, I dabbled in the food industry and by age 25, I owned a restaurant, and thereafter, in my late 20’s, I took a huge risk and opened a Film & TV Catering company, which turned out to be a huge success and I ran it for 25 years – life was challenging and frenetic but good! I had a very happy marriage and a beautiful son but in February of 2010, after 19 wonderful years, my husband walked out on us and overnight, our lives were turned upside down. I had a nervous breakdown – the shock was too much…

It was then that I discovered Kundalini Yoga, due to a dear friend literally dragging me out of my bed and driving me to my first class.

Whilst doing my Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training, my dad passed away and two years after that, my precious mom died. I was trying to juggle my business, my son, my yoga, my parents, money problems and much, much more and eventually, when my son matriculated at the end of 2015, I sold my house, sold my business and in April of 2016, I moved to beautiful Kefalonia, my dad’s birthplace and my second home, in search of the next phase of my life. And here I am…

My dream for my immediate future is to share not only my beautiful home with people from all over the world and to cook delicious Greek feasts with them, but also to teach them the life-changing yoga that saved my life, Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini yoga not only saved my life, literally but it helped me discover a better version of myself, where I can live, laugh and love without complications or constraints, without judgement or nastiness, without worry or regrets and THIS is what I wish to impart on everyone who crosses my path, whilst embarking on a yogic journey to pure contentment within.
